Char’ Pit Sand Harbor State Park, Lake Tahoe, NV

The Char’ Pit at Sand Harbor State Park is a really good restaurant for being in a State Park. The service took a little long, maybe 15 minutes,  but it was not that bad of a wait.  It isn’t right on the beach, but it is very close, and you can see the water.  You can leave your things on the beach and walk there for lunch.  When you go up to order, they don’t have a lot of options.  They have burgers, ice cream, fish and chips, and also alcoholic drinks for adults.  I got the fish and chips, and they were very good considering that it was food just made right there.  The fries were also pretty good.  The best part is that you can sit outside and still enjoy the state park.  You don’t have to leave the park and pick up your stuff from the beach. I also very much enjoyed the view.  If you are ever in Lake Tahoe, I not only recommend going to Sand Harbor, but I also recommend eating at the Char’ Pit.

Cafe du Monde – New Orleans, Louisiana

Cafe du Monde is the best place to eat beignets.  Cafe du Monde is in New Orleans, Louisiana.  It is near Jackson Square – a park area near the French Quarter.  It is a fun friendly place to eat.  The place is open 24/7.  There is a bigger outdoor area and an indoor area.  The outdoor seating area is covered.  The place is a quick serving place, so if you are in a hurry and need something to eat, you can stop in and get your stuff really quickly and get out.  It also means that you order your own food and serve yourself.  I thought that although the beignet smelled good, I could only eat one.  The beignets were large, and all I needed to fill me up was one or two.  So if you are in the area and need something to eat, then you should go there and eat some beignets.

Cafe du Monde is the best place in the USA to get beignets.  Their beignets are really good and covered in powdered sugar. You can eat outside or inside.  The coffee they serve is really strong, and I did not like it.  The place will get crowded at like 8:30 in the morning. Beignets are the only thing they serve, and they come with three in an order.  I can eat almost a full order they are soooooooo good.  After dinner you can go there and get them for a dessert, they are open 24 hours a day.  They are definitely worth the wait, so if you are near there try it out.  You will be happy!

I love Cafe du Monde.  Its beignets are so good. The beignets are covered in powdered sugar and have lots of hollow pockets on the inside.  A beignet is like a funnel cake in the shape of a square donut.  The only thing on their menu are beignets, coffee, and soft drinks.  Cafe du Monde has the best beignets in the world.  You can eat inside and outside.  I like outside the best, because there is a nice breeze.  You can also watch all of the people.  We saw lots of people walking by and many people had their pets with them.  Inside you can see them make the beignets.  They had to move really fast because they only serve beignets, and they make a bunch of them.  I don’t really like the coffee, but some people do like it.  I would like to go back to Cafe du Monde in New Orleans to get more beignets.

Rudy’s BBQ – San Antonio, TX

Rudy’s has one of the best barbecues in all of Texas – even though their slogan is “the worst BBQ in Texas”. Rudy’s is in a gas station and all though it looks like it wouldn’t be a great place to eat, it actually is delicious. The best thing to get a Rudy’s is the brisket. The brisket at Rudy’s. It is full of juice and has a lot of different flavorings that add spices and other flavors to it that make it really juicy. Another thing to get a ruby’s that is really good is their cream corn it has a lot of corn in it and is covered in a rich cream that has sugar and tastes really sweet. If you do decide to get the cream corn then I would add a hint of salt to it to take away from a bit off of the sweet taste from it. Another thing that I love to get at the place is there sausage. The sausage is full of spice and is really juicy. The sausage is packed full of spicies that makes the sausage really spicy. Since the place is in the a gas station I would go and get a drink at the gas station rather than at Rudy’s. I would like to go eat at Rudy’s again and I hope that u decide to too.

Rudy’s Barbecue is one of the best in Texas. The best thing I like is the brisket that the serve. They don’t put the barbecue on the brisket for you, and I don’t put any “sause” on it because it is so good without the sauce. The cream corn they serve there is also the best side they serve, and it is very good. I recommend getting a lot because you will eat a lot of it. Rudy’s is also located in a gas station, and they have a lot of different locations in Texas. You can also order ribs, sausage, and chicken. Other sides you can get potato salad, coleslaw, beans, and a big pickle. Also at Rudy’s they have pop and other drinks in glass bottles that are fun to drink out of. If you live or are visiting Texas look at eating at a Rudy’s near you it is delicious.

Rudy’s barbecue is one of the best BBQ in Texas. I like their brisket and creamed corn the best. Rudy’s is in a gas station. You can pick your own drink, and they sometimes give you samples of the creamed corn. The creamed corn is mainly corn with cream. I love it the best there. If I had to choose one thing to eat there. A lot of people love Rudy’s brisket and creamed corn the best. You should go to Rudy’s!

Royal Scoop — Bonita Springs, Florida

Royal Scoop is one of the only great places to eat ice cream.  Royal Scoop is in Bonita Springs, Florida.  The inside is kinda nice and looks like an old fashioned ice cream shop.  (The floor is really bad and needs to be cleaned more often than normal.)  They have a lot of different ice cream flavors to pick from.  You can pick how many scoops you want on the ice cream cone or bowl.  They also have free water if you are thirsty.   You can buy hotdogs and a lot of other types of food and sandwiches there too.   When we went, I decided I wanted something different, so I picked a chocolate covered waffle-bowl as my dish.   For my choices of ice cream, I picked cookie dough and black cherry as my flavors.   The cookie dough had a bunch of chocolate chips and a few pieces of cookie dough in it.  The black cherry ice cream has little bits of cherries in them that taste really good, and then the ice cream is soft and easy to eat.   It all melts quickly too.  You can buy different colors of Royal Scoop’s t-shirt.   Royal Scoop is really popular, so you may be waiting a while before you get to pick your ice cream.   Sometimes the line wraps around the outside of the front porch.  However, it is worth the wait!   It is a really good family place to eat ice cream.

Hadley–10

Royal Scoop is probably the best ice cream I have ever eaten.  They have sandwiches and other items on the menu, but you really want to focus on the ice cream.  At Royal Scoop they have different flavors to choose from.   My personal favorite is the cookie dough.  It has a vanilla ice cream with lots of little pieces of cookie dough in it.  When you order you need to only get one scoop because they really give you two scoops – their scoops are big and one is enough. When you  choose a cone I recommend getting the waffle cone; it is really good.  You can also order a bowl with a cone in it.  You order a cone, but have them put it in a bowl, so as it melts you can eat it with a spoon.  When you arrive you might have to wait a while, but it is worth the wait.  There is not a lot of seating in Royal Scoop, but they have a porch and you can sit outside.  It is not fancy.  You can wear your swim suit with a shirt on to go inside.

Royal Scoop is a good ice cream place.  You can pick what flavor you want from a lot of choices.  You can pick out a bowl, a bowl with a cone, a waffle cone, or a waffle bowl.  I ordered cookie dough and chocolate chip.  The cookie dough was good because I really like the cookie dough in it.  They give you a good amount of cookie dough.  The chocolate chip ice cream was good because I like the ice cream and the big chocolate chips.  The chocolate chip ice cream is the best.  The restaurant is kinda clean.  On busy days there are two lines to go through.  On regular days there is one line to go through.  It is worth waiting in line to get Royal Scoop ice cream.

Waffle House

The Waffle Houses are known for good breakfest food that is quick and easy to eat.  The Waffle house is known for their waffles.  They make their batter homeade at the restrant.  There are many waffle houses across the us and all of them are good.  Every time we go to the Waffle House, I always get the same thing the All-Star Breakfast.  It come with the choices of eggs, a pick between sausage, bacon, and ham,  you also get to pick if you want grits or hash browns, and last, but not least, you get one big waffle.  It only cost $7.99.  But, they also sell dinner and lunch stuff to eat too.  They are also known for their chili.  They make it homeade and put a lot of cheese on top.  To finish it off the put a dab of cream cheese on top.   If you are in an area that has a Waffle House, it doesn’t matter what time of day it is – you should go.  Waffle House is a 24 hr. business.  So I recommend going at any time of day

Hadley -10

The Waffle House is a fast food breakfast restaurant. They are open 24hours a day. The best thing to get is the All-Star breakfast. They serve lunch and dinner, but are mostly known for their breakfasts which are served all day.  The All-Star breakfast is  a meal with eggs – your choice scrambled or sunny side up, you can get toast or a biscuit, hash browns or grits, sausage, ham or bacon, and a waffle or biscuits and gravy. I always order the sausage.  It has a lot of flavor and is juicy.  Everything is made to order, so it is always hot and fresh.  They use lots of real butter on their griddle.  So, even though it is fattening it is tastey.  Inside they have a bar-like counter top, a bunch of booths, and some tables.  The one thing they are known for is their waffles.  The waffles have a crispy outside and a soft inside.  My brother and sister and I always sit at the counter-top.  We like to watch the cooks make the meals.  It is cool to see how they cook everything on the griddle.  They have to work fast to get everything made.  That is the reason we love to go to the Waffle House.

 

Barnett – 7

The Waffle House is good.  You should go there.  They make waffles that say “Waffle House” in the middle of them.  They are good to eat because they taste like a pancake batter cooked on a griddle.  I ordered the All-Star breakfast.  It comes with practically everything you would ever want for breakfast.  It came with eggs.  I ordered sunny side up.  They are also dippy eggs, but I don’t dip my toast in them.  I also had hashbrowns.  They are good.  My brother likes to put mustard on his, I only put salt on mine.  Two sausage patties come with the breakfast.  They are good because they are tender and good.  They are not spicy.  Finally, I got two pieces of toast.  I put strawberry jelly on my toast and eat it.  It is a really good place to eat.  It is my mom’s favorite and my favorite breakfast restaurant.
